Earlier this week I had the opportunity to sit down with The Destin Log and government reporter, Matt Algarin. The Log published a profile piece on myself, my life in Destin, and what I see for the future our city.

The Destin Area Chamber of Commerce brought life back to its political action committee, Citizens for Good Leadership, in 2013 after about 5 years of inactivity.

The CGL PAC serves as the chamber’s political action arm, since the chamber cannot officially endorse candidates, make donations or advertise on behalf of someone running for political office.

The PAC is essentially tasked with candidates that can help advance the goals of the chamber, which includes economic diversification and community development. The endorsement given by the CGL PAC will help to encourage and support the goals of the chamber’s  business community as well.

I would like to give a big thanks to the Women’s Council of Realtors, Emerald Coast Chapter for allowing me to speak about my campaign and how I want to represent the City of Destin residents.

As a local sponsor to the WCR as Pace PC Solutions. I appreciate the support the members have given me over the last 5 years.

Thank you to the Destin Chamber of Commerce and The Destin Log for hosting the first city council forum. It was very nice to meet all the city residents that attended and I hope that you were able to get a better idea of what I stand for and how I can serve the Destin community as a councilman.

I look forward to speaking with everyone further and remember to exercise your right to vote on March 11, 2014.

The new year started off to a great start and the election has started to take shape.  It certainly is a crowded race for the three open Destin City Council seats that are available in the March 11th, 2014 election.

The Destin Log and The Northwest Florida Daily News have featured articles about the candidates and the upcoming election.

As one of the candidates seeking your vote, I hope to become “a voice” for the residents of the City of Destin and be able to portray concerns so that issues can be dealt with economically and feasibly.  You can learn more about me, Matthew Pace, and my campaign issues that I will take with me to the city council.

It’s official! The 2014 Municipal Election is underway.  With qualifying completed on January 3, I am officially in the race for Destin City Council. I commend everyone who has thrown their hat into the ring and volunteer their time to help serve as a leader in Destin.

Since pre-filing in May 2013, I have been committed to serving the City of Destin residents and I am looking forward to making our home a better place and to stand up for the citizens of this city.

Thank you for your continued support and I hope you continue to spread the word about my campaign and what I can do for the City of Destin.
